An exhibition featuring Hanoi’s iconic Long Bien Bridge is being held at Vietnam Culture Arts Exhibition Centre in the capital city.

Titled “Long Bien – A legend,” the exhibition showcases pictures taken by Vietnamese and international photographers depicting the bridge in the past and the present, as well as pictures predicting the bridge’s future.

The 2.5-km cantilever bridge was built in 1903 by French architects Daydé & Pillé when it was one of the longest in Asia. It was originally called Paul Doumer Bridge. From 1899 to 1902, more than 3,000 Vietnamese took part in the construction.

The exhibition will run until November 24 at the venue at 2 Hoa Lu Street in Hanoi.
