A series of downpours have swept through Hanoi, severely flooding many of its districts and rendering the capital’s traffic congested.
Many streets in the capital were inundated from Tuesday night until Wednesday morning, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
Local water pumping stations were activated and drainage workers were sent to control the inundation, according to the news agency.
Due to the floods, traffic in Hanoi was heavily congested, as Duong Dinh Nghe, Xuan Thuy, Pham Hung, Ho Tung Mau Streets were badly affected.
Many people had to walk their bikes, which broke down thanks to the torrential rains.
