-- An Hoi school based in Go Vap district is dubbed the most populated primary school in Ho Chi Minh City with 4,320 students, 138 staffers including teachers, 57 classrooms, and 28 toilets. Parents of 40 percent of students are immigrants.
-- A Vietnam Airlines ATR-72 airplane en route from Hai Phong to Da Nang was found to lose a wheel in flight on Monday but it still safely landed at Da Nang airport.

-- Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City have just approved a US$0.5 million project to prevent flooding in the city. The project is jointly financed by a bank in Holland and the state budget.
