>> Tan Son Nhat-Noi Bai one-way airway to be opened in June 2015 The 4-story Terminal 2, the largest of its kind in Vietnam so far, has been built since December 2011 by a workforce of 1,300 people with a total cost of ¥75.5 billion ($645.35 million). Of the investment, ¥59 billion ($504.27 million) is sourced from the Japanese official development assistance (ODA) and the remaining amount is the local counterpart capital. Workers are now completing the last work items of the facility so that it can be inaugurated in a week’s time. The terminal is 996 meters long and has a total gross floor area of over 139,000 square meters. The new facility can serve 10-15 million passengers per year. Do Tat Binh, head of the terminal project management board, told news website VnExpress that 99 percent of the construction has been completed and that the contractor has met both the progress and quality of the project.    On December 25, the Vietnamese national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will be the first aviation firm to use the terminal for its Flight VN661 from Hanoi to Singapore. As of December 31, the VNA will use the new facility for all its international flights.
