Visitors to Hanoi can now have their face portrayed by a group of artists at Hoan Kiem Lake at about US$4.5.
The artist group’s oldest person is 70 years old, while the other members are fresh, young graduates, and amateur artists.
Their job is to paint a portrait in charcoal or ink for tourists.
Each artwork costs around VND100,000 (US$4.5).
In Hanoi, this kind of service still lacks consideration, leaving the artists working in poor conditions.
Thus, the artists’ income is unstable.
