Vietnamese police are investigating the cause of the death of a South Korean man who died after falling from a multi-story apartment building in the southern province of Binh Duong on Tuesday.

Police officers in the province’s Thu Dau Mot City have examined the scene where Cho Hon Do, a 45-year-old man of South Korean nationality, passed away after falling from his rented flat on the 19th floor of the 22-story Sunrise apartment building on 30/4 Street.

Cho dropped to his death at about 9:20 am on Tuesday, and the location where he fell down is in the back of the building that looks to Binh Duong Avenue, police said.

His body was deformed due to the free fall, witnesses said.

This tenement opened just a few years ago, authorities said.

Cho was the director of a fashion trading company in Binh Duong, according to Nguoi Lao Dong (Laborer) newspaper.

The foreigner might have killed himself by jumping from his flat but the exact cause will be confirmed later by police, Nguoi Lao Dong quoted a representative of the Thu Dau Mot People’s Committee as saying.
