-- Following his trip to Germany from July 5 to 8, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc was scheduled to pay an official visit to the Netherlands from July 9 to 11 in order to seek more investment from local businesses.

-- Vietnamese State President Tran Dai Quang on Sunday attended a ceremony to mark the 110th anniversary of the establishment of Lao Cai Province (July 12, 1907), located in northern Vietnam.

-- Police in Phu Quoc, a tourist island off the southern province of Kien Giang, are investigating a case in which 15 men from two gangs engaged in a violent confrontation on Saturday night.

-- Eight people have been killed, injured or missing after a heavy rain, flood, and subsidence occurred in the mountainous provinces in northern Vietnam since Thursday last week, according to the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.

-- Two construction workers were killed after a wall collapsed onto them as they were demolishing a house in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday morning.

-- The Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved a proposal for the Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company to expand the Dung Quat Refinery, located in the central province of Quang Ngai, with the capital investment of over $1.8 billion.
