-- Motorbikes are either responsible for or victimized in 82.9 percent of road accidents in Ho Chi Minh City, while car-and-car crashes only make up three percent, according to the municipal traffic safety committee.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City administration has approved two major river-dredging projects worth a total of VND2 trillion (US$88.11 million) in an effort to boost its river transportation capacity and share pressure with the overloaded road traffic.
