Hundreds of ceramics manufactured by a Vietnamese firm will be exhibited in France next year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism said Thursday on its website.

Around 300 Luy Lau ceramic products are scheduled to be showcased at a fair in the European country from January 13 to 15, according to Nguyen Dang Vong, director of the Luy Lau Pottery Cooperative that made the ceramics.

The cooperative is located in the northern province of Bac Ninh.

Luy Lau is the name of one of the oldest types of pottery in Vietnam and is evidence of a culture dating back 2,000 years with many unique products, reflecting the high level of development in the visual arts and heating technique of Vietnamese people.

The exhibition is a great chance for the Vietnamese firm to introduce its ceramic products, which have long been popular thanks to their sophisticated designs and high quality.

During the celebrations for the Thang Long-Hanoi millennium anniversary in 2010, a 2.2 ton vase made by Nguyen Dang Vong using Luy Lau ceramics as material was displayed and attracted many viewers.

Luy Lau ceramics are now exported to such markets as South Korea, Japan, the U.S., and the EU.
