-- A 16-seater bus carrying eight people was dropping off passengers on the Hanoi-Bac Giang Expressway in northern Vietnam on Sunday, when it was crashed from behind by a speeding truck, leaving two of its passengers dead and injuring six others.

-- A series of rental houses in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City were unroofed by strong winds during a heavy rain on Sunday afternoon, with no casualties reported.

-- Vietnam’s shrimp export value to Canada topped $27.7 million by March 2018, up 16 percent from a year earlier, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Sunday, citing the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

-- Tour organizers in the northern city of Hai Phong are complaining that authorities in the nearby city of Ha Long, home to the renowned bay of the same name, have prevented them from bringing their guests to visit the UNESCO Heritage site, apparently to protect local travel firms.
