French singer Christophe to perform in HCMC for charity

Renowned French singer and songwriter Christophe will perform in Ho Chi Minh City in a one-night only charity concert next week.

All proceeds of “Christophe’s Live Concert” organized by NGO Poussières de Vie with the support of the French Consulate in HCMC will help fund Poussières de Vie’s projects for children in need in Vietnam. The show is organized to celebrate the French-Vietnam Year on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

At the 150-minute concert, Christophe will play piano, guitar, and sing well-known hits and new songs alike from his rich repertoire refined over 50 years. Vietnamese singers including Elvis Phuong, My Linh, and Dong Lan will join him on stage.

Born in 1945, Christophe is one of the most acclaimed French singers. His hits include “Aline”, “Les Marionnettes,” and “Les Mots Bleus,” which have thrilled fans of romantic French music for decades.

“Christophe’s Live Concert” will take place at 8pm on November 23 at Hoa Binh Theater at 240 3/2 Street in District 10.

Tickets from VND300,000 (US$14.15) to VND2,000,000 (US$94) are available at Hoa Binh Theater; Exotissimo Travel agencies at Sofitel Hotel at 17 Le Duan Street in District 1;  41 Thao Dien in District 2; French Bookstore « Nam Phong » at 96 Ho Tung Mau Street in District 1.
