Vietnam airline hosts another on-flight dance

Passengers on the maiden fight between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong Province operated by Vietnam’s private carrier VietJet Air (VJA) on October 7 were amused on seeing a local model wearing a see-through outfit and dancing, pretending to be Lady Gaga.

Model Ngoc Quyen, who dressed and wore makeup like the US pop star, led a group including dancers and flight attendants to give a dance performance along the aircraft’s aisle.

Many passengers filmed the performance and posted it on YouTube. After the plane landed at Cat Bi Airport, Quyen continued to perform a bigger dance.

This is not the first time VJA organized such on-flight dancing.

Bad record

Earlier in August, VJA got into trouble and had to pay a fine of $1,000 for “organizing an unapproved show on a plane”. That time, it was a bikini, Hawaiian dance performance on VJA’s maiden flight to the coastal city of Nha Trang.

This show met opposition from many who said it was offensive due to performers’ costumes while others said the $1,000 fine was very cheap for such a PR trick.

It is not sure if VJA has been granted approval for the Lady Gaga show or not and whether it could be fined again.
