Tuoi Tre News briefs you on some of the leading stories published today, April 4, in Vietnamese media.Politics -- Vietnam is keen on strengthening comprehensive cooperation with India in various fields, particularly in national defense and security, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said at his meeting on Friday with India’s national security adviser Ajit Kumar Doval, who has been on a visit to Vietnam.  The Indian official told his host that India will be always a companion with Vietnam in any circumstances.

Society -- Under a new rule related to the U.S. non-immigrant visa renewal by mail, Vietnamese citizens whose U.S. non-immigrant visas in classes other than E, H, L, P or R are still valid or have expired less than 48 months are eligible for such a renewal, David R. McCawley, consular section chief of the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City announced at a press conference on Friday. The new rule took effect on April 1, 2015. -- The Central Airports Authority on Friday fined two employees of VietJet Air, a low-cost carrier in Vietnam, VND5 million (US$230) each for refusing transport of a handicapped woman, who is paralyzed in two legs, at Da Nang International Airport in the central city of Da Nang on April 2.   -- The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee on Friday conferred certificates of merit on six physicians and doctors of the U.S.-based charitable medical organization Face The Challenge for their coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Odonto-Stomatology Hospital in performing 581 surgeries for patients with innate defects or complicated injuries. -- More than 350 people have given their opinions after looking at the  made-in-Japan train cabin and passenger carriage mock-up of the city’s first subway that has been displaying at a depot in  District 9, Ho Chi Minh City for two weeks. Most of these people agree to the shape and color of the sample.Business -- The Ministry of Transport has assigned the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) to review all bid packages that South Korea’s Posco Group is implementing in Vietnam, Deputy Transport Minister Nguyen Hong Truong told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Friday. The ministry’s move came after South Korean media released information that the former CEO of a company member of the Posco Group has been arrested on charges of embezzlement.Lifestyle -- A short film “Anh” of 25-year-old Vietnamese director Huynh Cong Nho has been selected to compete with 24 others films, made from other countries including the U.S., the U.K., Belgium, France and Canada, at an international film festival that will take place in France from April 24 to 26, a source from the festival’s organizing board said. Sports -- Liverpool will face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in a match in the 31th round of the Premier League at 6:45 pm on Saturday, April 4 (Vietnam time).
