Society - Police in southern Tien Giang Province have confirmed that the rumor in which “a 58-year-old man and his daughter-in-law were hospitalized after his penis got stuck in her vagina while they were having sex…”, is a complete fabrication. This false information was first published on the VOV Online on September 18 and it was re-published later on many other sites. - Car drivers under the influence will be fined VND8-15 million, while the penalty for motorbike driver will be VND500,000 to VND3 million, according to a new Decree of the Government, which also stipulates a fine of VND600,000-VN3 million for overfeeding, depending on violation levels. - The granting of new ID cards that include the names of the parents of cardholders has been officially carried out I Hanoi from yesterday, September 21, said the Ministry of Public Security’s Social Order and Safety Administrative Department. After Hanoi, other localities will do the same, according to Circular 27 of the ministry. - The Navy Command has begun the construction of an urban residential area in the Cam Ranh Military Base in Khanh Hoa Province. Local police has captured 18 of the escapees. The detainees here are very aggressive while the center has no enough staff to control them, said Nguyen Xuan Sinh, director of the center. Business -- According to a draft decree of the Finance Ministry, investors in a casino in Vietnam are required to have an investment capital of at least US$4 billion and obtained at least 10 years of experience in the line of business. After getting feedback from other agencies and the public, the ministry will finalize the decree and submit it to the Government for approval in the last quarter of this year.

Sports -- Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has failed in the quarterfinals of the 2012 Yonex Open Japan badminton tournament. He lost 0-2 to Hu Yun from Hong Kong (China) on September 21. In the first set, Tien Minh finished with a score of 22-24 in favor of the Chinese player. Despite his effort in the second set, Minh was still beaten 15-21 by the Hong Kong player who won a ticket to the semi-final with his 2-0 win after 42 minutes.
