General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong received treatment in a room measuring nearly 20 square meters at 108 Military Central Hospital in Hanoi.
This is also the place where the Party chief drew his last breath at 1:38 pm on July 19, 2024.

Vietnam will hold a two-day state funeral on July 25 and 26, 2024 for him.
He will lie in state at the National Funeral Hall at No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street in Hanoi.
The ceremony for Party General Secretary Trong will be held at the National Funeral Hall from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm on July 25 and from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on July 26.
It will be followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm on July 26.
A burial service for the Party chief will take place from 3:00 pm on the same day at Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi.
