Vietnam has secured three gold medals at the ongoing World Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships held in Batumi, Georgia.
Le Thai Hoang Anh, Dau Khuong Duy, and Pham Tran Gia Phuc emerged as champions in the Girls U12, Boys U12, and Boys U14 categories, respectively.

With a tally of three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal, Vietnam currently holds the second position in the medal standings.
The young Vietnamese chess players are scheduled to carry on their competition in blitz chess throughout Saturday and Sunday.

The World Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships 2023, co-hosted by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the Georgian Chess Federation, is taking place from June 5 to 12, uniting 462 chess players from 35 countries and territories.
Vietnam is represented in the tournament by a contingent of 13 talented young chess players.
