Thua Thien- Hue Province in central Vietnam has given its nod to a US$4.9 million restoration project on the mausoleum of King Tu Duc, one of most resplendent mausoleums built under the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945), Vietnam’s last monarchy reigns, in Hue City- the country’s former imperial capital.
The newly built mausoleum of King Hiep Hoa, the 6th king of Nguyen dynasty, has recently been handed over to Nguyen Phuoc lineage, his descendants, in Hue city.
Renovation on the mausoleum of King Tu Duc in central Hue city kicked off on May 22, but the site remains open to tourists during this time.
