The latest cruise ship from a Miami-based cruise line has docked at a seaport in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, bringing nearly 4,300 passengers from different nations to Vietnam.

The Ovation of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International’s third and newest cruise ship, docked at the Phu My port on Tuesday morning, carrying almost 4,300 foreign tourists from countries such as Canada, the U.S., the UK, Australia, and Singapore.

Tourists wishing to explore Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City were offered a diverse list of activities from local travel agency Saigontourist.

A representative from Saigontourist said the company is constantly welcoming ships from many of the world’s leading cruise lines, including Star Cruises, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, to Vietnam.

Ninety-one ships with more than 120,000 visitors from the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, and Asia have visited Vietnam, the travel agency’s representative added.

The Ovation of the Seas was completed in April and features high-tech amenities and dynamic entertainment spaces, including the Bionic Bar, the first completely robotic bar in the world with robotic bartenders assembling drinks and serving customers, according to the Royal Caribbean International.

The 18-story Quantum-class luxury cruise ship also wows travelers with North StarSM, a jewel-shaped capsule that gently ascends over 300 feet above sea level, giving spectators 360-degree sea views.
