Vietnamese budget air carrier Vietjet and consumer goods company Masan Consumer have entered into a strategic cooperation deal to introduce Masan Consumer’s CHIN-SUPhoStory, an instant noodle product, to the former’s domestic and international flights as part of an initiative to promote local culture to the world.

CHIN-SU PhoStory's broth flavor is made using the traditional recipe of the 70-year-old Pho Thin Bo Ho restaurant.

Combining traditional style and modern technology, CHIN-SU PhoStory encapsulates the elegant flavor of Pho Thin Bo Ho so that it can be served to passengers on Vietjet flights across Vietnam and to Australia, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, and Cambodia.

Vietjet has also begun using new-generation A321 aircraft on which the image of a Vietjet flight attendant serving CHIN-SU PhoStory is prominently displayed.

At the cooperation agreement signing ceremony, a representative of the CHIN-SU PhoStory brand, said becoming a partner of Vietjet proves PhoStory’s quality and CHIN-SU’s strategic vision on the 'Go Global – Make Vietnamese Foods Global Foods' journey.

“We hope to join forces with Vietjet to bring pho closer to international friends and to create the best possible experience for global consumers, contributing to affirming the position of Vietnamese cuisine on the global culinary map,” the representative shared.

A Vietjet representative said that the airline has always attached importance to each dish served to passengers on its flights.

It is serving a green culinary party in the air with nine fresh, delicious dishes that are the quintessence of cuisine in Vietnam and the world.

Cooperating with Masan Consumer, Vietjet will continue introducing the quintessence of Vietnam’s cuisine to international passengers on flights and at all destinations where its flights land.

Nguyen Phuong Hoa, head of the Department of International Cooperation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said the event would open up many new opportunities, helping Vietnamese cultural values continue to shine in the global culture flow.

When passengers enjoy bowls of pho in the air, they can feel the delicious flavor of the dish as well as the spirit, character, and pride of Vietnamese people, Hoa added.

The cooperation between leading enterprises in aviation and food marks an important stride in the promotion of Vietnamese cuisine, contributing to providing local and international passengers with special culinary experiences, introducing a beautiful, hospitable Vietnam, and boosting economic and tourism development.

Masan Consumer, which is one of the leading consumer goods companies in Vietnam, is producing and distributing many food and beverage products, such as spices, convenience food, and drinks.

The company began operations in 1996 and has successfully developed its product portfolio and distribution network.

Masan Consumer has built the CHIN-SU, Omachi, Kokomi, Nam Ngu, Tam Thai Tu, Vinacafé, Wake-Up Saigon, Wake-Up 247, and Vinh Hao brands through its customer-centered strategy.

Meanwhile, Vietjet, with its cost and operation management capability, has offered flying opportunities at low costs and diversified services to meet different demands of customers.

The air carrier is an official member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and owns the IATA Operational Safety Audit.

It was rated at the seven-star level, the highest ranking for aviation safety in the world, by AirlineRatings.

Vietjet was also listed in the top 50 airlines for healthy financing and operations for two consecutive years of 2018 and 2019 by Airfinance Journal, and repeatedly received prizes for the best low-cost air carrier from prestigious organizations, including Skytrax, CAPA, and AirlineRatings.
