Da Nang unveils new tourism campaign to woo more holidaymakers

The tourism authority of Da Nang City, in collaboration with relevant units, launched a tourism promotion program named ‘Enjoy Danang 2024’ on Friday in an attempt to attract more visitors to this central Vietnamese city.
The program organizer announced that as many as 10,000 services, free entrance tickets, and special deals, worth VND5 billion (US$201,200) in total, will be offered to visitors.
The beach city will present 2,000 Danang International Fireworks Festival tickets to visitors who book travel services and products via online channels of the program, including the website enjoydanang.vn.
Huynh Thi Huong Lan, deputy director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, under the municipal Department of Tourism, revealed that the coastal city will roll out new travel products this year, such as musical fountain shows, water puppet shows, motorboat and aquabike racing events, the Bach Dang pedestrian street, and night-time entertainment services on the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge.
With the ‘Enjoy Danang 2024’ program, Da Nang is expected to fulfill its target of welcoming 8.4 million tourist arrivals this year, Lan said.

The program focuses on promoting events and festivals, night-time tourism, culinary tourism, wedding tourism, and MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions) tourism, Tran Chi Cuong, vice-chairman of the Da Nang administration, said at a ceremony to launch the tourism campaign.
In the first quarter of the year, Da Nang received 9,550 flights transporting some 1.59 million visitors to the city, with around 4,750 of them being international flights.
An additional five international air routes linking Da Nang with other countries will be launched in the second quarter this year, Cuong added.
The city plans to host many joy-filled events this year including the Vietnam-Brazil Football Festival, the Danang International Fireworks Festival, the Danang International Marathon 2024, the BRG Open Golf Championship, and many others.
