-- The 11th plenum of Vietnam’s 12th Party Central Committee concluded in Hanoi on Saturday after six days of sitting, during which all of its working agendas were fulfilled.


-- The Long Thanh International Airport, which will be constructed in the southern province of Dong Nai, will be accessible by three roads and two railway routes upon completion, according to a feasibility report submitted to the National Assembly.

-- The Southern Airports Authority has imposed a VND8.5 million (US$365) fine upon a 59-year-old Hanoi woman for stealing a life jacket from a flight operated by low-cost carrier Vietjet.

-- Police in Dong Nai have arrested a 17-year-old boy for obstruction after he crashed his motorcycle into a traffic policeman who was trying to pull him over for an administrative inspection on Wednesday afternoon.

-- The Department of Police in the northern province of Phu Tho has proposed that Truong Minh Tuan, former Minister of Information and Communications, be subject to disciplinary action for failing to notice and stop a large-scale online gambling ring.

-- A total of 31 men and women tested positive for crystal meth after officers raided a club in Rach Gia City, located in the southern province of Kien Giang, at around 1:00 am on Sunday.


-- Vietnamese tourist company Vietravel was honored with three awards, namely Asia's Leading Tour Operator, Vietnam's Leading Tour Operator, and Vietnam's Leading Travel Agency, during the World Travel Awards 2019-Asia Region, which took place on Phu Quoc Island off southern Kien Giang Province on Saturday evening.
