Dozens detained for motorbike racing in Ho Chi Minh City

Police in Ho Chi Minh City arrested 33 young men amongst 100 people who gathered to take part in an illegal motorbike race on Sunday, the first day of the 2023 Lunar New Year.
Authorities told local media that they found a group of youngsters planning to gather for an illegal motorbike race organized through a social media platform.

According to early findings, at around 3:50 am on Sunday, police officers in Ho Chi Minh City who were on patrol stumbled upon over 100 youths participating in a motorbike race on Bac Hai Street, Ward 14, District 10.
Law enforcement officers managed to detain 33 young men and seize 21 motorbikes.
Authorities are still investigating the case to collect more evidence to initiate legal proceedings against the gang for disturbing public order.
