A trans-Vietnam train stopped at the Nha Trang Railway Station in the namesake city of Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam last weekend, bringing 462 Chinese tourists.
The Department of Tourism in Khanh Hoa Province held a ceremony to welcome the delegation and presented the tourists with gifts.
This is the second charter train carrying foreign travelers across Vietnam and the first to Nha Trang.
Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Le Thanh said the province wants to promote itself as a friendly and hospitable destination for domestic and foreign travelers.
It hoped tourists will choose Nha Trang as their favorite destination during their tours in Vietnam, especially those on trains.

The provincial Department of Tourism will coordinate with the Nha Trang Railway Station to propose Vietnam Railway improve services to attract more tourists to go on cross-country trains, said Thanh.
Tran Duy Thang, chairman of Global China-Vietnam Friendship Corporation JSC, which organizes trans-Vietnam tours on trains, said the company would continue to cooperate with Vietnam Railway to arrange 10 more trans-Vietnam trains for some 3,000-4,000 international visitors by the end of the first half of 2025.
Arriving in Nha Trang on a trans-Vietnam train for the first time, Yuan Jiaxin, a Chinese tourist, said they passed through stunning routes in Vietnam and hoped to have wonderful experiences in the Vietnamese coastal city.

The train departed from Hanoi Station for Da Nang in central Vietnam, then Binh Thuan Province in the south-central region, and Ho Chi Minh City in the south.
From the Saigon Railway Station, the train headed for Nha Trang, staying there for a night before traveling to Thua Thien-Hue Province in central Vietnam and returning to Hanoi.
Their trans-Vietnam tour lasts for 10 days.
