Fans will be able to enjoy live coverage of the Vietnamese national team competing at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, as a media entity in Vietnam has successfully secured the broadcasting rights for the tournament this summer.
This entity will select one or more TV stations in Vietnam as partners and will hold a ceremony in Hanoi on Thursday to officially announce the rights.
The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20, marks Vietnam’s debut at the global association football competition.
Vietnam have been drawn in Group E alongside defending champions the U.S., reigning runners-up the Netherlands, and Portugal.
They will kick off their 2023 Women’s World Cup campaign against the U.S. on July 22 at 1:00 pm (local time) in Auckland.
Vietnam will then play Portugal on July 27, followed by the Netherlands on August 1.
In thorough preparation for their tough challenges at the tourney, Vietnam regrouped at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi on Monday.
The women’s team is scheduled to undergo training in Germany from June 5 to 25, during which they will participate in two friendly matches, including a crucial game against the German national team on June 24.
Following their Germany trip, the team will travel to New Zealand on July 6.
They will then play Spain and New Zealand in two friendly matches there before officially commencing their World Cup campaign.
