Vietnam Gameverse 2025, the biggest gaming event in the country, is set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City this May, promising an immersive experience for gaming enthusiasts and tech lovers. 

Under the theme ‘Connecting Verses’, the event will offer hands-on access to the latest gaming innovations, networking opportunities with industry leaders, and exclusive insights into the gaming ecosystem.

First launched in 2023, Vietnam Gameverse has become a significant platform for game developers, publishers, investors, and the gaming community in Vietnam. 

Over the past three years, the event has evolved from celebrating industry achievements to becoming a major networking hub for professionals and gamers alike.

Speaking at the event’s announcement on Friday, Le Quang Tu Do, head of Vietnam’s Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, reflected on the challenges and skepticism the organizers faced in establishing the event.

Despite these obstacles, the first Vietnam Gameverse in 2023 saw 17 participating companies, turning a vision into reality. 

By 2024, the event had grown into a full-fledged gaming ecosystem, with 52 companies onboard.

This year, Vietnam Gameverse 2025 aims even higher, expanding its scope beyond gaming to encompass publishing, game production, app stores, entertainment, and education.

La Xuan Thang, director of online game publishing at Vietnamese tech giant VNG, emphasized that the event would foster connections and inspiration, helping shift perceptions about gaming and its role in digital entertainment.

Activities as part of Vietnam Gameverse 2025 will run from February to May, culminating in a grand gaming festival in Ho Chi Minh City.

Key highlights will include the Vietnam Game Awards intended to recognize outstanding games, services, and gaming communities, with 21 awards across categories like The Golden Galaxy, The Golden Sun, The Golden Star, and The Golden Gear.

Vietnam Game Forum will serve as a platform for discussions on industry policies, global expansion of Vietnamese games, esports development, and talent training.

The 2025 edition will expand its scale, welcoming leading investors and gaming firms from around the world, creating opportunities for business collaborations and product showcases.

Besides, the event will feature game showcases, live esports tournaments, cosplay competitions, and parades.
