The Minister-President of the German Federal State of Hesse, Volker Bouffier, is leading a high-level delegation of politicians and economic officials on an official visit to Vietnam between October 4 and 7, the German Embassy in Hanoi said in a press release.
Bouffier said he is looking forward to constructive talks with the Vietnamese government and to see the relationship between Vietnam and Germany rise to a new height. He was quoted as saying, “Vietnam is a dynamic country that has many cultural legacies and is always looking forward.“
The delegation will have political discussions about the rapport between Hesse State and Vietnam, and a cooperation deal between the two will be signed on Thursday by Bouffier and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan.
The German group will also attend a celebration of German Unity Day (October 3) at the residence of the German Ambassador to Vietnam in the capital city this evening.
