HCMC party features non-verbal communication

HCMC party features non-verbal communication

Thursday, November 08, 2012, 16:36 GMT+7

The third “Silent Party” will be held at Unique Premium Outlets in Ho Chi Minh City‘s Tan Binh District this weekend.

>> A silent party

First held by the Silent Party project, a social initiative set up by a group of young social volunteers, in Hanoi in last August and HCMC two months later, the event seeks to encourage non-verbal communication, body language and show sympathy towards the hearing-impaired community in Vietnam.

At the party where guests are not allowed to talk, there will be games as well as book and souvenir selling to raise fund to help hearing-impaired people.

Participants will have a chance to meet members of Deaf Culture Club in HCMC to know more about life without verbal language. Silent Party will take place at 7:30pm on November 10.
