Vietnam’s low-cost carrier Vietjet inaugurated a new nonstop service between Hanoi and Singapore on Thursday.
A flashmob gathered to celebrate the inaugural flight as the cabin crew presented the first passengers with lovely gifts as they boarded the aircraft at Changi Airport, the carrier said in a statement.
The Hanoi-Singapore flight will operate daily with a 2 hour 55 minute flight time per leg. The route departs Hanoi at 10:00 am (local time) and arrives in Singapore at 1:55 pm (local time).
The return flight departs Singapore at 2:55 pm (local time) and lands in Hanoi at 4:50 pm (local time).
The new route was planned in response to the increasing travel demands of tourists and business travelers and is hoped to boost trade and integration in the region.
To continue their celebration of the new route, Vietjet is holding a two-day promotion from 12:00 pm on April 27 to 11:59 pm on April 28 offering tickets priced from $0 for flights for travelers flying between August 14 and December 31, 2017.
