The first metro link in Ho Chi Minh City runs from Ben Thanh Market in District 1 to Suoi Tien Theme Park in Thu Duc City, comprising three underground stations and 11 above-ground stops.
These stations are waiting for operation.
The Ho Chi Minh City Management Authority for Urban Railways, the investor of the metro line project, said that the link is 98 percent complete, while work on all the metro stations is finished.
The underground stations include Ben Thanh, Opera House, and Ba Son, while the elevated stations are Van Thanh Park, Tan Cang, Thao Dien, An Phu, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai, Thu Duc, Saigon Hi-Tech Park, Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City, and Suoi Tien Coach Station.

Engineers and workers in charge of the project have been speeding up work on the metro line to quickly open it to traffic.
The metro line is set to be put into operation free of charge from July to October, and will start its commercial operation in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to the management authority.
