Thai group offers internship course in Thailand for Vietnamese students

A Thai group has announced a program providing forty students in five ASEAN countries with a one-month internship course in Thailand.

SCG Group, which manufactures building materials, is offering the chance for forty students from several countries, including 12 from Vietnam, to participate in the “SCG International Internship Program.”

The other countries are Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Myanmar.

According to the organizer the program, which is in its third year, aims to give participants real work experience and training opportunities at SCG.

It will also expose students to different work cultures and grow their network with international friends, which are keys to getting great jobs in an increasingly competitive job market, the organizer said.

Successful candidates will receive a special training program, project assignment, and a certificate of completion.

They will be funded with round trip tickets to Bangkok, accommodations, a 500 Baht (US$17) allowance per day and a sightseeing tour of Thailand.

Applicants are required to be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in engineering, business, social science, law or others; and have good command of English,

The internship course is scheduled to take place in Thailand from June 15 to July 14 for Indonesian, Vietnamese, Myanmarese, and Filipino nationals, or August 9 to September 8 for Filipino and Cambodian nationals.
