Female soldiers shine in military parade rehearsal ahead of Vietnam’s 50th Reunification Day

After four months of intense training, southern Vietnam’s soldiers are entering their final stretch of preparations for the grand military parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the southern region and Reunification Day (April 30).
At the Military Zone 7 Training School in Ho Chi Minh City, under the blazing April sun and unseasonal rains, female soldiers from the commando, militia, and southern guerrilla units were persevering through the humid conditions.
Their synchronized steps, resolute gazes, and sharp commands cut through the humidity, showcasing their dedication and discipline.
Ngo Kim Ngoc, a soldier from the female commando unit, exemplified this spirit.
Gentle in demeanor off the training field, Ngoc transformed into a focused marcher within the ranks.
In their final rehearsal, Ngoc and her fellow soldiers, drenched in sweat and flushed from the heat, pressed on with unwavering determination.
“Being part of such a historic national event is an unparalleled honor,” many of them echoed.
