Vietnam sets up office to handle entry, exit of vessels in Truong Sa

The Nha Trang Port Authority in Nha Trang City of the south-central province of Khanh Hoa will open its representative office in the province’s Cam Ranh City on Saturday, Pham Van Chuong, director of the port authority, said on Friday.

>> Vietnam strongly objects to Taiwan’s survey on Ba Binh Island The office is assigned to handle all necessary procedures for vessels to enter and leave the waters of the province’s Truong Sa (Spratly) Island District in the East Vietnam Sea, Chuong said. The office is located at 30 Nguyen Trong Ky Street in Cam Ranh City. The chief of the representative office is Le Thanh Van Khoi, Chuong said. Truong Sa District, which is 248 nautical miles away from Cam Ranh Bay, was established under Decree No. 65/2007 dated April 11, 2007 issued by the Vietnamese government. Nha Trang, a famous beach city, is the capital of Khanh Hoa while Cam Ranh is 37km south of the city.
