The Vietnam Book of Records (Vietkings) has certified two women, in their 100s and 90s, to be the oldest biological sisters in the country.

Dinh Thi Xa, 102, and her 94-year-old sister Dinh Thi Long were recognized by Vietkings on Saturday.

Representatives of the record organization also handed over the certificate to the two ladies at their homes in Dong Nai Province’s Bien Hoa City, some 30 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City.

Xa and Long, who remain fit and alert, were born to a family of seven siblings. Their three living siblings are now over 90 years old.

Xa is the oldest sibling in the family, and her next sister, who is 98 years old, is now living abroad.

The Vietkings thus decided to confer the title on Xa and 94-year-old Long.

The two ladies said during the certificate presenting ceremony that the key to their longevity is their children’s and grandchildren’s loving care and harmony along with a healthy lifestyle and reasonable diet.
