-- The People’s Committee in the southern Vietnamese province of An Giang has asked the central government for VND123 billion (US$5.4 million) worth of emergency support to deal with the serious land collapse along the Vam Nao River.
-- A feasibility report of Ho Chi Minh City’s 3a metro route, connecting Ben Thanh Terminal in District 1 with Tan Kien Terminal in Binh Chanh District, has been submitted, with total capital investment estimated at over $2.8 billion.
-- The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has discovered a total of 232 fake driver’s licenses across the city since the beginning of this year, of which 195 were licenses for motorbikes.
-- Some 39 traffic accidents happened in Vietnam on Monday, killing 24 people and injuring 40 others, according to the National Committee for Traffic Safety.
-- A group of motorcyclists gathered at a section of National Highway 51 in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau at around 3:00 am on Monday for illegal street racing. The illegal activity was also livestreamed on Facebook by some of the participants.
-- Police in the southern province of Dong Nai have arrested Ton That Minh, 22, who murdered his own mother after she had refused to give him money. Initial investigation showed that Minh had used crystal meth prior to the incident.

-- Vietnam’s cement exports to Peru and Sri Lanka in the first quarter of this year increased sharply year-on-year, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association.
