Wednesday, November 01, 2017, 16:00 GMT+7

The People’s Committee and the Department of Information and Communications of the central city of Da Nang have released a promotional video ahead of the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Themed “Welcome to Da Nang,” the video was produced in both Vietnamese and English and will be broadcast on outdoor screens and government websites as well as in local online media.

The video primarily introduces Da Nang as the host of the 25th edition of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, which will run from November 6 to 11.

From different points of view, it then showcases Da Nang’s famous landscapes including one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet.

The city is home to the brown-shanked doucs, which have been dubbed “the queen of primates,” it explains.

The video then points out the city’ strength in tourism and its famous destinations and hospitable people, before expressing Da Nang’s wish to become one of the leading event and festival destinations in Asia.

The video concludes with a confirmation that Da Nang is ready to welcome the senior leaders of the 21 APEC nations, including Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam among others, who will jointly set out a direction for regional economic growth, multilateral cooperation and ongoing links.
