A man has turned himself in to police in the southern Vietnamese province of Binh Duong after purportedly killing a 62-year-old owner of a local motel over conflict in their romantic relationship.
Nguyen Van Xuan, 46, hailing from the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap, came to a police station on Tuesday night and admitted to murdering Le Thi Nhu Cuc, 62.
The victim’s body was discovered on the morning of the same day, at her room inside the Hong Cuc motel that she owned in Hiep An Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province.
Xuan’s statements revealed that he and Cuc had been living as husband and wife at her motel in the past year.

The two recently went through a series of arguments as Xuan thought his lover was having an affair with someone else.
The conflict escalated to the point that Cuc decided to kick Xuan out of her motel on Monday evening.
Angered, the man then stabbed his partner to death, before fleeing to his hometown in Dong Thap Province on the victim’s motorcycle.
Cuc’s family members found her body the following day and reported the case to police officers.
