Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga wrapped up his official visit to Vietnam by going for a walk at Hanoi’s emblematic Hoan Kiem Lake.
On Tuesday morning, the Japanese premier showed up at Hoan Kiem Lake for a walk.
He also waved his hand and smiled at passers-by.
At the lake, many local residents were impressed with PM Suga's semi-casual attire, including a white shirt and grey fleece jacket.
Nevertheless, the clothing choice is not abnormal to Suga as he is known in Japan as a politician with a humble and disciplined lifestyle.
Suga’s promenade around Hoan Kiem Lake was one of the last activities in his visit to Vietnam, which started on Sunday and already ended on Tuesday.
This is his first overseas trip as prime minister after he took over from Shinzo Abe, who resigned in September because of ill health.
After his time in Vietnam, the Japanese premier will visit Indonesia.
