Downpours are expected to lash southern Vietnam over the next three days due to the effect of the southwest monsoon, according to the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.
The rains will be accompanied by thunderstorms and mainly occur late in the afternoon and in the evening in the Central Highlands and southern regions, the weather forecast center stated.
Rainfall may reach high levels on Monday evening.
In Ho Chi Minh City, moderate to heavy rains are forecast for the late hours on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the same rainy pattern is expected to dampen the northern region from Sunday to Tuesday and linger from May 25 to 28, before gradually mitigating from May 29.
