-- An employee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang City in central Vietnam was caught on camera rudely throwing money at a local restaurant and having a gang threaten the venue owner over a cash exchange dispute, the owner reported to authorities on Sunday.

-- Police in Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province said they detected 105 people testing positive for drugs at a club in Vinh Lac Ward in an inspection in the small hours of Sunday.

-- A heavy rain that lasted for more than one hour flooded many downtown roads of Kon Tum City in the namesake Central Highlands province on Sunday afternoon, leaving local residents doubtful whether the sewer system worked properly.

-- Dang Le Nguyen Vu, a student of Bac Duyen Ha High School in northern Thai Binh Province, was named the winner of the 22nd edition of the ‘Road to Olympia Peak,’ the biggest quiz show on TV for high school students in Vietnam with a valuable scholarship given to the champion, which ended in Hanoi on Sunday.

-- “A stampede at a soccer stadium in Indonesia has killed 125 people and injured more than 320 after police used tear gas to quell a pitch invasion, authorities said on Sunday, in one of the world’s worst stadium disasters,” Reuters reported in its latest update on the deadly event.

-- Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh was announced the champion of the Yonex-Sunrise Vietnam Open 2022 after beating Goh Jin Wei of Malaysia 2-0 in the women's singles final in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday afternoon.
