Three died in the cabin of a truck on Thursday when the vehicle overturned on the Ho Chi Minh Road section passing Phuoc Son District in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam.

The accident occurred at 7:15 am as the truck driven by L.D.Q., 31, residing in Ea Ninh Commune, Cu Kuin District, Dak Lak Province suddenly turned on its side on the road in Phuoc Xuan Commune, Phuoc Son District on the way from the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum to Da Nang City.

Besides the driver, two other people, N.V.H., 34, a resident of Cu Kuin District, and L.T.T., 40, residing in Nong Cong District, Thanh Hoa Province, were also in the cabin of the truck at the accident time.

After the accident, the traffic safety committee of Quang Nam Province was called to support the rescue.

A large crane truck was later sent to the scene of the accident to help bring the three victims out of the cabin.

However, the trio died on the spot.

The accident is under investigation.
