A bus crashed into an eatery on Doi Can Street in Ba Dinh District, downtown Hanoi on Tuesday morning, causing at least two people to be injured and rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
The bus driver swerved to avoid an electric bicycle, which suddenly fell on the road, and then crashed into the eatery at around 11:30 am, according to a witness.
“At the time of the accident, there was a person waiting to pick up their order in front of the ‘bun cha’ (rice noodles with grilled pork and meatballs) restaurant,” said the witness.

“The incident caused three people to be injured and taken to the hospital, including one employee of the restaurant.”
Meanwhile, a police officer on duty at the scene said that the accident resulted in only two injuries, all of which were not life-threatening.

At the scene, the front of the bus was severely damaged.
The property inside the restaurant was also damaged.
As of 2:00 pm on the same day, police officers were still cordoning off a section of Doi Can Street to investigate the cause of the accident.
