8 family members hospitalized after eating dog meat in Vietnam

Eight family members in Buon Ma Thuot, a city in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, were hospitalized after eating dog meat earlier this week.
On Monday, H.M.Nie and her family hosted a party in Tan Lap Ward, Buon Ma Thuot, where they served dog meat.
After the meal, eight people in the family began to develop fevers, nausea, and fatigue.
They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
According to the Dak Lak Department of Health, the eight were suspected to have had poisoning.
They are now in stable condition and continuing to be monitored.
The hospital has taken patient specimens to uncover the cause of the incident.
