Nearly 1,000 military personnel gathered at Military Zone 7 Training School in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday for their final training session before heading to neighboring Dong Nai Province’s Bien Hoa City for full-scale rehearsals ahead of Vietnam’s 50th Reunification Day military parade.
The upcoming military parade in Ho Chi Minh City is part of the highly anticipated activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of southern Vietnam and Reunification Day (April 30).
Under the scorching sun and high humidity, the troops endured four intense rounds of drills in full gear.
Despite sweat-soaked uniforms, the soldiers' spirit remained unshaken.
Every Tuesday and Friday over the past weeks, these soldiers gathered at this training ground in District 12 to synchronize steps and tighten formations in preparation for the major national celebration.

The parade units are divided into four standing contingents -- military band, male coast guard officers, male militia, and female militia -- and three marching contingents -- male liberation army soldiers, female special forces, and southern female guerrillas.
Tran Thi Linh Chi, a professional servicewoman from the Military Command of southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, said, “Despite the sweltering heat, we remain steadfast. This is a challenge, but with the pride and determination of a soldier, we can overcome it.
"With less than a month to go, we will be marching in a momentous event for our country. I feel both nervous and determined."
