The flower street in Da Nang this year also has a 3.5-meter-tall tricolored cat statue. Some people said that the cat looks sad, but some assessed it is cool and contemplative.
According to artists and architects involved in the design of the flower street, this is the statue of a male tricolored cat sitting in an august, quiet and contemplative manner, showing the nature of a zodiac animal.
This is a male cat among 3,000 female cats and a valuable tricolored cat.

Phung Phu Phong, director of the Da Nang Department of Construction, said the flower street this year was sponsored by some private companies.
The organizer also invited representatives of the Da Nang Fine Arts Association and architects to design the street.
Therefore, the flower street this year is more imposing and artistic than in previous years.
“The investment in the flower street helps create an entertainment space for residents in the city and attract tourists, thus creating a jubilant and joyful atmosphere on the first days of the new year,” Phong added.

A spring flower festival has opened in Yen Phi Park in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam.
At the entrance of the park, there are statues of two yellow walking cats.
There are also statues of tricolored cats lying on straw rolls and cats catching butterflies, helping visitors feel like they are in a garden in the countryside.
Pham Vinh Nghiep, director of Nha Trang Urban Environment JSC, said these cat statues are made of galvanized iron structure, styrofoam, and paint, and are some 1.5-2 meters tall each.
Besides cat statues, the flower festival features a sponge gourd frame, a river, a rice field, and a thatched cottage decorated with pieces of parallel sentences, banh chung (square glutinous rice cakes), and branches of yellow apricot blossoms and peach blossoms.

On a section of Pasteur Street, which is some 500 meters from the venue for the flower festival, there are also extremely cute cat statues.
Statues of an anime-styled cat family are the most special. The father cat wears Ngu Than (five-piece) clothes, while the mother cat is in Nhat Binh (an outfit for concubines under the Nguyen Dynasty).
Three young cats also wear Ngu Than outfits and hold red envelopes.
Many visitors have taken photos with this cat family.
The flower festival will end on January 26, or the fifth day of the new lunar year.
