Hong Kong flag carrier Cathay Pacific has announced a giveaway of 8,800 air tickets for Vietnamese visitors to travel to the island.

Within the framework of the ‘World of Winners’ campaign sponsored by the Airport Authority of Hong Kong, 500,000 free air tickets will be given to tourists around the world to travel to Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific will offer 80,000 round-trip tickets to tourists in Southeast Asia, including 8,800 free tickets for Vietnam.

The ‘World of Winners’ is designed to promote the ‘Hello Hong Kong’ campaign by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, aimed at attracting tourists back to the island after COVID-19 travel restrictions were lifted.

In Southeast Asia, the campaign will be rolled out in phases, starting with Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines on March 1, 2, and 3, followed by Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia on March 15, 16, 17, and 18.

To join the campaign, participants must be a Cathay member. 

During the campaign period, members must visit Cathay Pacific's campaign website, sign in using their Cathay membership details, and answer three questions correctly.

Each member may submit one entry only. The winners will be announced on the campaign website.

“I am confident that visitors will enjoy a unique and unforgettable travel experience when they return to this vibrant city with Hong Kong's diverse culture and immersive tourism offerings," said Raymond Chan, regional director for Southeast Asia of the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Aside from the campaign, Hong Kong also offers interesting experiences and attractive incentives for visitors.

At least one million ‘Hong Kong Goodies’ vouchers will be given away to visitors, including free drinks at participating bars, restaurants, and hotels or coupons for transportation, dining, shopping, and visits to local attractions.
