Vietnam has become a new wedding destination in the Southeast Asian region, evidenced by a recent wedding celebration of an Indian couple, with pink being the main theme, at a beach in Da Nang.
The premium wedding of the groom Bhisham Ramchandani and his bride Heena Paryani was held at the five-star Danang Marriott resort & spa between February 29 and March 2, featuring all of the Indian traditional wedding rituals with upbeat music.
Around 250 guests from various places, such as Hong Kong, the Philippines, India, and the U.S., gathered at the luxury event, according to a Danang Marriott representative.
The joyous gathering began with a welcome party, followed by a Mehndi ceremony with a pool party and a Sangeet ceremony entailing dance and music performances.

Piotr Madej, general manager at the Danang Marriott resort & spa, said the guests had a wonderful time experiencing the beautiful wedding traditions of India.
Prior to this wedding, many other Indian couples opted for this central Vietnamese beach city as a destination to get married.
In early January, nearly 500 guests, staff, and over one metric ton of wedding materials were transported from India to Da Nang for a celebration at the Sheraton Grand Da Nang resort and convention center.
Between February 2 and 4, another Indian couple held their wedding at the Hyatt Regency Danang resort & spa, with more than 200 attendees.
Da Nang has hosted around six Indian weddings so far this year, according to hotel data from the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center.
Sprawling across three to five days, these jubilant celebrations welcomed 200-350 guests and included various traditional wedding ceremonies.
Hotels in Da Nang also received bookings for wedding parties from Japanese couples and those hailing from other countries.
David Ippersiel, general manager at the Sheraton Grand Da Nang resort and convention center, revealed that Indian brides tended to take into account the reputation and interesting details of a destination, aside from other key factors, before choosing it as a place for their grand weddings.
Despite the current suspension of flight services between Da Nang and India, couples can book connecting flights via Singapore or Kuala Lumpur to reach the Vietnamese coastal city, Ippersiel added.
Nguyen Thi Hoai An, deputy director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said the agency is working with relevant bodies on a pilot program to promote wedding tourism, with a focus on the Indian market.
The department is set to assign some individuals and units to attend the travel and tourism exhibition SATTE in India, as well as inviting Indian wedding planners to experience wedding tourism facilities in Da Nang, An elaborated.
