Hue City in central Vietnam will develop another wooden promenade along the southern bank of the Perfume River to serve outdoor art performances and leisure activities.
The promenade carries a price tag of over VND20 billion (US$787,000), Duong Quang Hien, director of the Park Management Center in Thuan Hoa District, confirmed on Friday.
The 432-meter-long, three-meter-wide walkway will feature a reinforced concrete base topped with 50mm-thick ironwood planks covering 1,298 square meters.
A semicircular stage will also be built in the area, spanning 430 square meters with the same concrete base and wooden surface.
The seating area will be landscaped with seasonal flowers, grass, and terraced stone benches spanning 334 meters.
It will also include lighting and accommodate up to 6,000 people for large-scale outdoor events and performances.

This new promenade is set to open to the public on March 26.
It will connect to an earlier wooden riverside walkway built in 2018 on the southern bank of the Perfume River.
That walkway is 380 meters long and four meters wide, with an investment of VND64 billion ($2.5 million).
