A Mai Linh taxi driver in the central city of Da Nang has returned about $2,390 in cash to two Australian tourists.
On May 19 Nguyen Kim Tan, the cab driver, picked up an Aussie couple at Sandy Beach resort and took them to the Da Nang international airport.
After dropping them off at the airport, Tan found a small bag they had left behind containing US and AUS dollars worth about US$2,390 in total, and 10 international credit cards.
Tan decided to drive back to the airport to return the loss property to the passengers. But he failed to find them because they were checking in. Tan later reported the case to his company.
Upon finding out that their bag had been left in the taxi, the couple returned to Sandy Beach resort to ask for their assistance.
The driver returned all of the lost property to the couple at the hotel later that day.
Tan has been hailed and awarded VND2 million ($100) in cash by his company for his good deed.
