Broadway musicals to come to southern Vietnam next week

The Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra (HBSO) will present a number of excerpts from famous Broadway musicals next week.

The show, entitled “Excerpts from Famous Broadway Musicals,” will feature renowned songs including “Part of Your World” from “The Little Mermaid,” “Ces diamants-là” from “Notre Dame de Paris,” “I Could Have Danced All Night” from “My Fair Lady,” “I Dreamed A Dream” from “Les Miserables” and “Les Rois Du Monde” from “Romeo et Juillette.”

It will feature performances by well-known artists including Cho Hae Ryong, Nam Khanh, Duc Tuan, Ha Tram, and the HBSO Chorus and Band under the direction of Vietnamese conductor Tran Nhat Minh.

“Excerpts from Famous Broadway Musicals” will run for one night only at 8:00 pm on July 19 at the city Opera House at 7 Lam Son Square in District 1.

Tickets cost from VND200,000 (US$9.41) to VND400,000 ($18.83) each for the general public and VND80,000 ($3.77) for students.
