Malaysia-based Malindo Air has apologized to Vietnam for listing Hanoi in the same category as Beijing in the latest issue of its in-flight magazine.

Such erroneous information was published on page 51 of the August 2016 issue of the airline’s in-flight magazine MalindoMag, causing misunderstanding that the carrier considers Hanoi part of China.

The airline said in its apology letter to Vietnam that it had penalized the staff responsible for the wrong information and that it would like to express deep regret over the mistake.

The faulty magazines have been immediately withdrawn and destroyed,Malindo Air said, adding that it has published the corrected versions.
